This year Tony & I celebrate our 17th Wedding Anniversary and our restaurant of choice was the fabulous Eric’s in Lindley, Huddersfield.

We’ve dined here many times before and it never disappoints, this time was no exception.

We’ve not been since before lockdown however and, as it’s not a large restaurant I did wonder how they were going to cope with social distancing.

There was nothing to worry about though and as soon as we arrived the safety measures were all visibly in place and all staff were wearing face coverings.

We were served in the bar area immediately as we waited a few minutes for our table and then led to our table by a lovely member of staff. The bar menu is vast along with a wonderful seasonal cocktail menu.

The entire staff is friendly, attentive and hard working and we were served extremely quickly for each course.

We skipped the starters (to make room for desert) & I chose the lamb rump & Tony chose the fish of the day for our mains. Both entrees were superbly cooked and absolutely delicious.

Sticky Toffee pudding was the choice for both of us for desert and it lived up to every expectation! Absolutely divine & very naughty which is just what a desert should be!

The prices are a little higher than your run of the mill restaurants but rightly so. The quality is outstanding and definitely value for money. Not our first visit and most definitely not our last.
