LIFESTYLE, LEISURE, PLACES & HOME
Our new business – Balloons & Dreams
Tony & I have been wanting to start a side hustle for a while now for a bit of extra money for leisure & holidays so we can always push the boat out a little! We’ve always ordered balloons for special occasions and on Isabelle’s last birthday Tony decided he could do it and so Balloons & Dreams was born. I consult with clients on the colour schemes & designs and do all the social media & promotions, Tony does all the ordering & makes the balloon creations. So far its going brilliantly and we’ve had lots of orders in a short space of time. I have to say he’s very good & getting better each one he makes and the best thing is we’re loving it.

BEAUTY, HEALTH & STYLE
I’ve not been as healthy as I could have been recently and I needed to jump start my body to get fitter & lose a few pounds for my upcoming holiday.
I decided Tony & I would do a 3 day juice detox to clear out some toxins & I actually found it quite easy & enjoyed the juices. I lost 4lbs which was a bonus too. We’ve decided we’re now going to juice 1 day a week to give our bodies a cleanse, I loved the feeling once I’d done it.
We didn’t follow a set plan but I found juice recipes on line & made up my own for 4 juices a day & blitzed them in my Nutribullet which I highly recommend.
RESTAURANT OF THE MONTH
Da Sandro Birchencliffe Huddersfield
This authentic Italian restaurant has been a staple in Huddersfield’s culinary world for many years but has recently gone through a big refurbishment. I’ve eaten here many times & the food is always excellent. It’s a long standing family run business & the staff are always friendly & inviting and make your visit an event rather than just a meal out. It’s very popular for birthdays & they are fabulous with children making it great for families. A fabulous restaurant that my family & I will continue to return to time & time again.

- STEP 2

FILM/TV SHOW OF THE MONTH
Being a HUGE fan in the 80’s, as it airs its final shows, there’s no other show I could talk about this month. No I’ve not watched it in years, but I don’t know anyone my age who didn’t rush home from school in the late 80’s to see what Scott & Charlene, Jane & Mike were getting up to &, the fact that they all came back for the final episode was amazing. Did I love it? Yes! Did I cry? Of course!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BOOK OF THE MONTH
The Ugly Sister – Jane Fallon
I’m on a bit of a Jane Fallon binge at the moment but when I’m busy at work I need books that are easy to get into and provide escapism, when I’m not as busy I like books that challenge me more. Jane Fallon’s books are entertaining, fun & great to escape every day life and I love them all!
THIS MONTH I’M LOVING
My Summer Break is about to start!!
THIS MONTH I’M NOT LOVING
My poor son Max’s horrendous hay fever. I feel so sorry foe hay fever sufferers, it’s a miserable condition.
THIS MONTHS FAVOURITES
1. The Hotel Inspector on Channel 5
3. Gordons Peach Gin
