MY YORKSHIRE RESTAURANT OF THE MONTH – The 3 Acres Huddersfield

As restaurants go The 3 Acres is up there with my very top restaurants & it’s only a stone’s throw away from my house.
With a birthday in semi lockdown & can’t be shared with anyone outside of my household I decided to stay local for the 4 of us to enjoy a delicious meal at a place we all love.
Then another spanner was thrown into the works as 5 days before my birthday my daughter Isabelle was sent home from school as she’d apparently been in close contact with someone with Covid!!!

She didn’t have it herself so the rest of us didn’t have to isolate but it meant she couldn’t come with us which I was so disappointed about. She still wanted the 3 of us to go somewhere though so, with that in mind I didn’t want a big night out & going somewhere so local was perfect.
Situated in my home village of Shelley in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, The 3 Acres boasts beautiful Pennine countryside views & is a well respected and popular restaurant in our village with the highest quality cuisine on offer.
My birthday evening was a cold blustery one and as we walked into the restaurant the cosy ambience was so welcoming.

All covid measures were clearly in place and we felt extremely safe throughout. It was lovely to see all the tables (each at a safe distance apart) occupied as we were led to our table in the main restaurant.
The 3 Acres is often visited for special occasions and the clientele all appreciate good food & drink and dress for the occasion. It is also a popular venue for smaller intimate weddings and events, has a private dining area & a hotel on site.
The service was excellent throughout and our waitress was very attentive. The Autumn Grill menu has a wide variety of Starters, Seafood, Entrees, Vegetarian & Vegan options, delicious, perfectly cooked steaks to order and an extensive drinks menu.
The food, as expected was delicious with the Gingerbread pudding being one of the best deserts I’ve sampled anywhere in a long time.
A visit to The 3 Acres never disappoints & we went home extremely full & extremely satisfied.
It’s not a cheap meal but, in my opinion, completely value for money & worth every penny. I’m already looking forward to my next visit.
