RICK STEIN’S FISH
We were lucky enough to spend a few glorious days in Cornwall this Summer & even more lucky to be there when the beautiful weather appeared. One of the things on my wish list was to dine at one of Rick Steins restaurants. Sadly we couldn’t get in at the Padstow restaurant so opted to drive to the Falmouth one instead.
Situated opposite Falmouth’s National Maritime Museum, this is more of a high class Fish & Chip restaurant but after a day on the beautiful Fistral Beach we were more than ready for some delicious local Cornish Fish & Chips.
We were welcomed by the friendly staff and shown immediately to our seats. All the staff were extremely efficient and attentive throughout & the social distancing measures were clear and well thought out.
All 4 of us ordered Rick Steins famous Fish & Chips as they looked too good to resist. We were served our drinks immediately and the food wasn’t far behind, excellent & extremely quick service. The food was of a very high quality & absolutely delicious. The fish was cooked to perfection and the homemade Tartar sauce was delicious, we all completely cleared our plates!
My only minor criticism was the wooden benches rather than chairs were slightly uncomfortable but that’s a personal preference not a complaint.
Very reasonably priced, I felt it was definitely value for money and we will most certainly return on our next visit to Cornwall.
