WEEK 13 – WHAT’S HAPPENING TO OUR WORLD? AT HOME IN ISOLATION DUE TO THE CORONAVIRUS
DAY 85 – MONDAY 15TH JUNE
Today is my parents 52nd Wedding Anniversary so I’ve had an afternoon tea delivered to them which they loved. We’re going to pop round for a BBQ later on which will be lovely!!
The weather has been lovely again which makes everything better! Tony’s been working really hard on the garden and it’s almost done now which is great.
DAY 86 – TUESDAY 16TH JUNE
Work work & more work today planning my classes and planning returning to the studios. There’s so much to think about, setting up the studios to be safe for when we can return along with risk assessments, social distancing signs, measuring out spacings on the floor and so much more plus it’s all still very vague as to whether we will be able to return in July for private lessons.
Had 3 lovely invites tonight from different friends for socially distanced drinks for next week so lots of things to look forward to in the diary to bring a small glimmer of normality back. I’ve got a fab weekend planned too so I’m quite excited.
DAYS 87 & 88 – WEDNESDAY 17TH & THURSDAY 18TH JUNE
Teaching, pamper night & TV is all that’s happened in the last 2 days & the weather has been appalling so I’m glad I was busy working. 13 weeks of Zoom dance classes is not easy for me or my pupils but they’re doing so well under the circumstances. I’m just getting more and more concerned about kids mental health in general if they don’t all get back to school. I’m just praying they can all go back in September, it’s vital for them it really is.
DAY 89 – FRIDAY 19TH JUNE
Another rubbish weather day, I really hope it picks up this weekend. It’s like as soon as they said we could meet up with friends & family in gardens it’s not stopped pouring down.
Anyway, Isabelle was so determined the hot tub was going up today. as soon as she’d finished her school work she was outside getting drenched in the rain as she put up a full canopy & the hot tub. She definitely takes after her dad and not me for being able to put things together, fix things and read instructions.
I had a phone call from Max’s school as a general check in to see how he was and for them to say he was doing well with his work so all is good there thank goodness.
I had to nip to the supermarket and it was absolutely awful today, people can be so rude and most people seem to have forgotten about social distancing. For the first time today I actually felt quite anxious.
DAY 90 – SATURDAY 20TH JUNE
Such a lovely day today. We had our best friends round for a BBQ and it was perfect. The weather, the company, the food, the laughs, it was very much needed and I couldn’t have had a better day. It felt nice entertaining again and we were very good and stayed socially distanced all day.
DAY 91 – SUNDAY 21ST JUNE
Fathers Day so we had a lovely morning with Tony & my dad at home and today should also have been Miss Dance/Dance Master of Great Britain which is a huge event on the dance calendar which sadly had to be cancelled. 3 of my students had made the finals which is a huge achievement so one of the mums invited us all round to their house for a non Miss Dance gathering. Again, we had another amazing day and the whole weekend has been wonderful. It has given us a glimmer of hope that things might start slowly getting back to a new kind of normal.
Week 13 in lockdown over and it’s also mid June! Wow!
