WEEK 9 – WHAT’S HAPPENING TO OUR WORLD? AT HOME IN ISOLATION DUE TO THE CORONAVIRUS
DAY 58 – MONDAY 18TH MAY
Isabelle & Max have both been great at getting on with their work today & I’m really proud of them both.
I popped around to one of my best friends house to drop her birthday present off at her doorstep. It was so lovely to see her face in real life, albeit at a distance. I can’t wait for a ‘Cocktail’ night out as soon as we can.
One of my amazing past students is taking a workshop for my students today which I’m thrilled about. I’m trying to give them all varied workshops most weeks along with their regular technique classes to keep them all motivated. Luckily I’ve had lots of support from all the parents of my students, the Zoom classes are going really well to keep them all going but I can’t wait to get back into the studio. I’m just not sure when that will be right now.
I’ve been more motivated to exercise again today (last week was a right off as far as fitness went!!) I’m loving Yoga still and today I also did a Davina workout plus a lovely dog walk with Dora.
Baking cookies with Max after he finished his school work was lovely. I’m absolutely adoring this quality time with my kids.
DAY 59 – TUESDAY 19TH MAY
On a mission with exercising today and I’ve made myself a better schedule for it so I do it in the morning each day. The weather looks to be improving again and I had a lovely walk with Dora after lunch. Class planning, plant watering, tea making, coffee drinking, house tidying, tv watching, Zoom calling, blog writing, just another day in lockdown really!
I’m feeling really motivated this week which I love as I’m getting lots done. Hoping for some lovely weather this weekend too.
DAY 60 & 61 – WEDNESDAY 20TH & THURSDAY 21ST MAY
Two full days of online classes teaching my students. They are amazing and I’m so proud. The weather has been glorious and I would totally have understood if they’d wanted to spend time outside instead but no, they were all there and raring to go. I’m feeling very blessed right now.
At the end of classes on a Thursday I’m always exhausted so a G&T is in order and we made the most of the last bit of the days sun by having a BBQ.
Thursday always ends with clap for carers which we do religiously. It’s very important to us to do this each week.
DAY 61 – FRIDAY 22ND MAY
Today’s been lovely, Isabelle & I had a socially distanced dog walk with friends and it was so nice to have a good catch up. We were very good and stuck to the rules completely but it definitely did us all good.
Another fab quiz for my parents & pupils again tonight, I can’t believe its the 9th one. Almost into week 10, it’s flying by in many ways but I’m really ready for a bit of social interaction with friends and family now.
G&T, PJ’s & a TV binge watch finished off a lovely day. It’s the first time in my life I don’t feel guilty for pottering, relaxing, watching TV & a bit of self care after years and years of working every hour god sends and trying to please everyone.
DAY 62 – SATURDAY 23RD MAY
Another lovely day as I met one of my best friends for a dog walk ‘socially distanced’ of course. Again it was so lovely to have a fantastic catch up.
Back home and today was Max’s ‘Come Dine With Me’ night but as he’s a bit younger I helped him prepare it ready for the evening. Then I had a great workout session before our family quiz & Max’s dinner party. Such a lovely Saturday!
DAY 63 – SUNDAY 24TH MAY
Today is a year since my Uncle passed away so I popped round to take my Auntie some flowers and it was lovely to see her at a distance. We’ve let Isabelle go to meet one of her friends for a walk as it’s allowed now and we totally trust her to be sensible. I’m still very keen to take all this very seriously and keep isolating but we are now allowed to meet up with one person at a time which is good for everyone’s mental health.
A Sunday roast and a quiz with friends finished off a lovely day but I’m hoping the weather improves a little bit tomorrow.
And so yet another week in isolation comes to an end and I’m beyond proud of my gorgeous family.
